Abu Dhabi, UAE 16 October 2024: Nawah Energy Company, the operations and maintenance subsidiary of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), has signed three significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Core42, Etisalat (e&), and PRESIGHT. These MoUs aim to enhance Nawah’s digital capabilities by driving innovation in cloud infrastructure, 5G network design, generative Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics.
The MoUs were signed separately during GITEX 2024 by Yaser Ali Mohamed Alshehhi, Chief Information Officer, Nawah, and Talal Al Kaissi, EVP – Chief Government Affairs and Partnership Officer, Core 42, Haitham Abdulrazzak, Chief Business Officer, e& UAE, and Dr Adel Al Sharji, Chief Operating Officer at PRESIGHT.

The MoU with Core42 focuses on the evaluation of cloud solutions to support Nawah’s digital infrastructure and applications. The partnership seeks to accelerate cloud onboarding while ensuring data and operational control in improving the development of applications and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Through the second MoU, Nawah and Etisalat (e&) will cooperate on pilot projects to assess the suitability and effectiveness of 5G-enabled solutions. This collaboration will also focus on developing a strategy for 5G network design and potential implementation to ensure high-bandwidth connectivity that adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Finally, through the MoU signed with PRESIGHT, Nawah aims to explore the use of generative AI and big data analytics to enhance operational safety and organizational efficiency. The partnership will focus on identifying and implementing innovative AI use cases that align with Nawah’s goals for safety and operational performance.
